Brief Expedition objectives:

List a short summary of the main Expedition objectives.

The main team will be based at Camp 5 in the Melinau gorge. Further exploration will continue in the Whiterock/Blackrock part of the Clearwater cave system, and various systems in Gunung Benerat. A sub camp at the N. end of G. Benerat will help explore leads in that area. Surface work to look for new entrances will also take place. All finds will be surveyed, mapped and photographed to a high standard.

Detailed description of objectives:

Give a more detailed account of the purpose of the trip, including any particular known caves you intend to visit, specific areas where you will explore for new cave, and scientific experiments you will attempt.

1. To continue exploration and survey of a number of outstanding leads in the Whiterock/Blackrock Cave system.
2. To revisit areas of Clearwater cave and investigate leads to explore and survey.
3. To visit Deliverance cave in Northern G.Benerat and investigate high level passages at the end.
4. To locate and survey Gawai€„¢s Cave in northern G. Benarat
5. To continue exploration and survey of a number of outstanding leads in the Benarat Caverns system.
6. To conduct surface searches for new entrances in G. Benerat and G. Api. A Helicopter may be used to look for such new entrances.
