List a short summary of the main Expedition objectives.
To continue exploration of this cave by placing a team of divers beyond the main downstream sump, who will aim to dive sump 9 (present limit of exploration) and climb the Rio Iglesia waterfall. Secondary objective for non divers are to look for a dry connection to Nita Nanta and re-bolt the route to Anthrodite hall.Please explain the aspects of the trip which make it eligible for Ghar Parau funding.

Sump 9 was referred to by Dr William Stone as 'possibly the remotest point yet reached inside the earth'. In order to explore beyond this point we will need to transport a team of divers, their equipment and supplies to last them a week to sump 9.In order to reach sump 9 there is over 6km of cave to be traversed, a depth of 990m to be reached and a 500m long main down stream sump to be passed.
Secondary objectives for non divers:
- Look for a dry connection to Nita Nanta (a diving connection already exists)

Previous Visits:U.S cavers have been exploring Sistema Huautla since the 60’s. San Agustin has seen much of this activity. The most recent relevant expeditions are as follows:
